Christmas Snow Trees
FromDebbiesKitchen
A quick and easy craft that will bring a picture of white to your yard at a very small cost.
All you really need to do is to get a vision in your mind of where you would like to place your Christmas Snow Trees and how many you will need to complete your project.
Items You Will Need
At least 3-five to six-foot tree branches (Dead branches are the best, if possible).
1 can of White Spray Paint for each tree branch
1 large Red Bow for each tree branch
Prepare your tree branches by removing all the lower branches from the thickest and heaviest end of the branch. Standing your branch upright, vision the branch as if it were a tree and prune all the flimsy tip ends back until your little tree branches appear stable.
Clean off any excess debris, such as, leaves or flaking bark.
After choosing the site for your Snow Trees, dig a hole in the ground for each tree deep enough to support the tree in an upright position. Place each tree in the prepared hole and fill the hole back up with dirt. Your trees should be standing upright on their own without support.
Paint each tree completely from top to bottom, front and back with the White Spray Paint.
Allow the paint to dry a few hours depending on the weather, then attach a Big Red Christmas bow on the front of each tree.
*Note: Add a set of clear colored twinkling Christmas lights to the branches on your Snow Trees for a spectacular night show.
Decorate outdoor trees for Christmas by hanging Styrofoam paper cups on the branches like you would with Christmas bulbs. Simply fasten the Styrofoam cups upside down with hooks, string, yarn or bread ties.
Place Santa hats on outdoor trees. Add big Christmas bulbs or such for eyes, nose and mouth.
